Electric Fat-bike News
I don’t like that 20″ electric, so-called “Fatbikes” get lumped in with our beloved Acoustic Fat-bikes. I don’t even like that we have to use the term “Acoustic” to differentiate but I guess that’s the way it is, for now. Here is the definition of a “fatbike” (or fat bike) in the Cambridge Dictionary.

noun [ C ] (also fatbike)
a bicycle with tyres that are bigger than usual, designed to be ridden on soft ground such as sand, snow, or mud
Sure doesn’t seem to describe the 20″ posers! They should be called FatPeds or ScootBikes, something like that. Let’s come up with a name, specifically for the 20″x4″ electric bikes that are being misclassified.
It’s not just the US that is struggling with the scourge of the modified 20″ fat bikes either. Consider this caption from this photo at the link below.
