Simon Bergeron from Panorama Cycles sent us this FOMO inducing photo of one of his multi-sport adventures with backcountry skies and his Chic-Chocs carbon fat bike. He not only sent a photo, but a demo bike for Fat-Bike.com to test! Sven Hammer will be bringing that Panorama Chic-Chocs 3 up to Seeley on his visit for this weekend’s Fat Bike Birkie.
Stay tuned for an in depth review of the longish wheelbase adventure rig from our friends in Canada. I will compare the Chic-Chocs 3 to my Milwaukee Bicycle Company Buck Shot. We have not done a full review of the Buck Shot here since it was introduced in 2022, so I will be adding a long-term review of my blaze orange MBC Buck Shot for reference.
Sven had asked him how they chose the name for the fat-bike, Chic-Chocs, they are sending for review and he answered:
“The Chic-Chocs is a mountain range we have in eastern Quebec, about 10 hours of Montreal, which is an endless adventure playground. I traveled multiple times over there, mostly to backcountry ski and hiking. Actually, the last time I went there to ski, I fatbiked the 8 miles to get to the base of the mountain I wanted to ski.”
